Supporting and working with teachers is part of our commitment to supporting the local community.

Denne are playing a leading role in supporting a strategy amongst schools and the Department for Education and Science.  The aim of the strategy is to increase teachers' understanding of the Construction Industry and the built environment, which in turn help to integrate Construction into the curriculum and enable it to be positively promoted as a potential career path.

Denne are supporting this strategy by hosting regular Professional Development Days for teachers.  This includes visits to Denne sites and workshop sessions, exploring ideas on how schools can become more involved in the industry.

Kent Teacher of the Year Awards

Denne is a key sponsor of the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards, which recognise the hard work and achievement of local school teachers in Kent.  Run by Kent County Council and the Kent Messenger they aim to generate a positive series of stories promoting the key role teachers play in the community.
