Denne are working with a number of clients to develop site based training opportunities as part of the delivery of their projects. This involves the development of relationships with training providers and identifying training opportunities with our trade contractors.

Work experience

Work experience placements provide a valuable source of skills development for young people engaged on full-time training courses. These can generally be tailored to fit in with the construction activity on site. One of the requirements that we have when considering offering work experience placements is that the school or college are committed to gaining approval under the new Work Ready Award scheme, where this scheme is in operation.

Apprenticeships

On our long-term projects, such as our Stanhope development in Ashford, we have opportunities to include apprenticeships within our training programme.

On-Site Assessment

Other forms of site based training include On-site Assessment as part of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme qualification. We work with qualified Assessors to provide a customised package of support to enable trade contractors to gain formal recognition for their skills.
