To determine the potential recycled content of materials used on a project we have developed as assessment model.  This reviews the elements of the building and breaks these down into their material components.  For each material component a recycled material percentage is calculated based on the constituent materials used.  From this assessment model it is possible to calculate the overall recycled content of the scheme with breakdowns for each element. 

Our procurement team are responsible for identifying materials with high levels of recycled content and to verify the claims made.  They work with existing suppliers to identify recycled content for commonly used materials as well as sourcing alternative products.  Extensive use is made of the WRAP recycled material content database.
