Ashford Borough Council Architect P R P Architects Value £66m Completion date March 2012 Contract form PFI Design & Build Denne are founder members of the successful Chrysalis Consortium on this major housing PFI estate in Ashford, Kent. The consortium consists of Gleeson Homes, Moat Housing, Nationwide and Powerminster. The scheme includes refurbishing 325 houses to Decent Homes Standards with new external works, playgrounds, footpaths and landscaping. In addition 442 new homes, three commercial units and a community building with accommodation for a library and a housing office will be provided across ten separate sites. The overall contract value for Denne is more than £66m, with refurbishment works due to be completed in 36 months and the new build development site in 60 months. Denne has received approval under the National Skills Academy for Construction (NSAfC) for its training programme on the Stanhope regeneration project. This is the first funded programme in the UK under the NSAfC and the first to be selected under the National approval process. |
