Kent County Council Architect Cattell Skinner Design Partnership Value £2m Completion date October 2003 Contract form Design & Build This scheme was successfully completed in October 2003 providing new teaching facilities for the Astor College at Dover. The scheme involved the construction of a new block of 24 class-rooms, together with associated service rooms and facilities for disabled people. It also involved the provision of a separate dance studio with learning support. Throughout the duration of the scheme, works were carefully planned to allow the college to continue with their normal day-to-day timetable. Both buildings are steel framed with a combination of aluminium and brickwork cladding with lightweight concrete floors.
