Gallions Housing Association Architect calfordseaden Value £7.4m Completion date July 2009 Contract form Design & Build This new project for Gallions Housing Association has been successfully delivered on a previously unused derelict brownfield site. The building which is a maximum of 6 storeys accommodates a total of 58 extra-care housing units for the elderly or those with a disability. Consisting of a mix of one and two bedroom apartments, the residents receive onsite housing support and care services to help them lead an independent life.
All flats comply with the Lifetime Homes model and have been built to EcoHomes Very Good standard. The development also features a living roof and native planting that provides a meadow habitat, adding to the ecological diversity of the area.
