Hyde Housing Association Architect Architects Plus Value £2.9m Completion date April 2009 Contract form Design & Build This project for Hyde Housing Association was successfully delivered after extensive excavation works were carried out to level the site and unlock its potential. Constructed using a mix of traditional masonry and Structurally Insulated Panels (SIP’s), a system designed to help build environmentally friendly buildings, we were able to dramatically improve the insulation properties of the building and increase the available living space. The incorporation of 18 roof mounted solar panels which provide 10% of the developments energy requirements, and the use of a green Sedum roof for the cycle sheds, refuse store and undercroft parking helped ensure this scheme achieved an EcoHomes ‘Very Good’ rating. The project also achieved a rating of "Exceeding Expectations" under the Considerate Constructors Scheme thanks to the thoughtfulness of our site team. |
