We hold site-safety poster competitions to make children aware of the potential danger on site.  On a number of recent projects Denne have invited pupils of local schools in the community to participate in painting competitions.  The paintings were subsequently used to decorate the site hoardings.

One of our schemes in Essex, we recently ran a painting competition where 16 schools were invited to take part in. 

The school children that took part were aged between 5-10years old.  They were asked to produce paintings that would improve the appearance of our site hoardings.  To celebrate the excellent paintings Denne held a presentation ceremony to reward the school children that took part. Those who attended the event included the Mayor and other local dignitaries. 

Engaging with the local schools through the organisation of painting competitions and site visits have helped to deter unauthorised access to the site and has helped improve the appearance of our site hoardings throughout the construction process for local residents which is something that received praise by members of the local community.
