Denne has received approval under the National Skills Academy for Construction (NSAfC) for its training programme on the Stanhope regeneration project.  This is the first funded programme in the UK under the NSAfC and the first to be selected under the National approval process.

The Stanhope programme includes a site based training centre and a full-time Project Training Coordinator.   The range of training covers:

• School engagement, curriculum development and teacher professional development
• Work experience placements under the new Young Apprenticeship scheme and the Construction GCSE
• Traditional and Programme Led Apprenticeships
• On-Site Assessment for the qualified Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS)
• Local employment
• Higher education engagement and research
• Business support
• Support for Basic Skills and English Spoken as an Other Language (ESOL)
