A number of our construction projects are carried out close to local schools.  On projects where we are operating in close proximity to schools, we work hard to ensure that the pupils and staff are kept fully informed with what is happening near their school. 

As part of our approach to involving schools our Dedicated Security Manager, accompanied by our Health & Safety Advisor and School Liaison Officer will attend school assemblies to give Health & Safety talks to the children.  Through our experience these assemblies provide an excellent opportunity for us to introduce ourselves as a construction company to the children and also talk to them about the potential dangers on construction sites. 

The Health and Safety talks also create awareness amongst school children about the dangers on site and discourage children from going on site.
