Charitable Initiatives
In addition to our commitment to providing training and employment opportunities, Denne is an active sponsor of many community initiatives including:
The Kent Walk to School charity (Walking Bus)
As the principle sponsor for the last 7 years, Denne actively supports the Kent Walk to School Charity, a Kent initiative that provides a safe route to school for children whilst promoting healthy lifestyles, road safety skills and social interaction for children.
Kent Teacher of the Year
Denne has also actively supported the Kent Teacher of the Year awards to recognise the hard work and achievement of local school teachers in Kent. Run by Kent County Council and the Kent Messenger they aim to generate a positive series of stories promoting the key role teachers play in the community.
Dream Project
An initiative developed by Denne to offer schools in Kent the opportunity to make their 'Dream Project' become reality. Winners of the 2010 competition, St Eanswythe School in Folkestone were the beneficiary of a new beach theme garden incorporating quiet outdoor areas for teaching and learning.
