The Code for Sustainable Homes, which took effect for all new dwellings registered after April 2007, provides a national standard for sustainable design and construction of new homes.  Taking into account 9 performance categories the Code is designed to move new housing to a zero carbon position by 2016.

To further develop our expertise with the implementation of the new Code Denne have set up a Sustainable Homes working group.  The Group includes our technical team and development managers and is working with our specialist environmental consultants to develop strategies for achieving Code level 3 to 6.

Denne can draw on an extensive experience of developing schemes with EcoHomes "Excellent" ratings where extensive use of renewable energy technology, water efficiency measures and modern construction technology has already been demonstrated.
